Węzeł integracyjny w Żukowie ułatwi komunikację
Gmina otrzyma 3 mln 700 tys zł dofinansowania na ten cel. Umowę w tej sprawie podpisał już burmistrz z marszałkiem województwa pomorskiego.
– Skorzystają mieszkańcy i każdy, kto będzie przez Żukowo jechał do Trójmiasta – ocenia burmistrz Wojciech Kankowski.
Węzeł powstanie przy dworcu Żukowo Wschodnie, ma ułatwić przesiadanie się z różnych środków transportu: samochodowego, rowerowego, kolejowego. Inwestycja w Żukowie ma kosztować w sumie 16 mln zł. Do końca przyszłego roku powstanie oświetlony i monitorowany parking dla samochodów i rowerów, ścieżki rowerowe, chodniki.
– Chcemy, by w przyszłości nasze województwo pokrywała sieć takich węzłów – mówi pomorski marszałek Mieczysław Struk.
Żukowo jest kolejnym samorządem, który otrzymał dofinansowanie utworzenia węzła integracyjnego. Umowy podpisali ostatnio m.in. burmistrzowie Władysławowa, Wejherowa, Pucka i wójt gminy Wejherowo. Dziś zawartych zostanie sześć kolejnych – na inwestycje w Gdańsku, Redzie, Rumi, Somoninie, Pruszczu Gdańskim i Cieplewie.
