W Żukowie zmieniono nazwy czterech ulic
Zamiast komunistycznych działaczy i aparatczyków – bohaterzy II wojny światowej. W Żukowie w ramach dekomunizacji zmieniono nazwy czterech ulic.
– Wyjątkiem od tej zasady jest ulica 16 marca, która będzie nosić imię ks. ppłk. Józefa Wryczy – tłumaczy burmistrz Wojciech Kankowski.
W trzech przypadkach zmieniono jedynie imiona patronów: Ulica Aleksandra Zawadzkiego będzie ulicą Tadeusza Zawadzkiego, patronem ulicy Kruczkowskiego będzie Kazimierz, a nie Leon, ulicę Jana Krasickiego zastąpi Ignacy Krasicki. Patronów ulic, placów, szkół zmieniają gminy w całym kraju w związku z tzw. ustawą dekomunizacyjną – wszędzie tam gdzie nazwy propagowały ustroje totalitarne. Jak wyliczył IPN w całej Polsce do zmiany były aż 943 nazwy ulic.
