W Żukowie uruchomiono pierwszą sygnalizację świetlną
Zamontowano ją przy ulicy Armii Krajowej na wysokości Szkoły Podstawowej nr 2. Przede wszystkim ma ona służyć zwiększeniu bezpieczeństwa uczniów tej placówki.
Kierowcom czerwone światło wyświetlone zostanie w dwóch przypadkach. Po pierwsze „za karę”, gdy przekroczą dozwoloną prędkość w tym miejscu. W drugiej opcji pieszy zatrzyma samochody naciskając przycisk i wyrażając tym samym wolę przejścia na drugą stronę ulicy. Postawienie sygnalizacji na Armii Krajowej kosztowało 135 tys zł. Większość pochodziła z budżetu gminy Żukowo, 50 tys zł dołożyła Rada Osiedla Norbertanek.
