W Żukowie trwa remont historycznego centrum miasta
W ramach inwestycji zagospodarowany zostanie obszar przy ponorbertańskim zespole klasztornym – pod przestrzeń publiczną ogólnoparkową. Modernizacji i adaptacji poddany zostanie zabytkowy spichlerz z XIX w. oraz ul. 3 Maja.
– Czekamy też na rozbudowę starego spichlerza – tłumaczy burmistrz Wojciech Kankowski.
Prace trwają głównie przy modernizacji ulicy i budowie parku. Przybędzie terenów zielonych ze ścieżkami oraz oświetleniem parkowym. Powstaną także elementy małej architektury, m.in. ławki parkowe, altana, gabiony z kwiatami oraz pomost nad zbiornikiem wodnym. Celem rewitalizacji jest również wyeksponowanie zabytków.
W budynku spichlerza mieścić się będzie Strefa Kultury oraz Centrum Aktywności Rodzin. Centrum będzie ośrodkiem dziennej opieki, w którym planowane i prowadzone będą kompleksowe zajęcia dla rodzin potrzebujących wsparcia, w szczególności zagrożonych ubóstwem i wykluczeniem społecznym.
Strefa Kultury będzie centrum zajęć edukacyjno-integracyjnych dla mieszkańców, dzieci, młodzieży, rodzin oraz seniorów, wspomagających naukę i rozwój osobisty, kulturalny i intelektualny.
