Rozpoczęło się ogólnopolskie święto czytelnictwa – Tydzień Bibliotek
To cykliczna impreza organizowana od 2004 roku przez stowarzyszenie Bibliotekarzy Polskich, mająca promować czytelnictwo.
– W naszym programie zarówno dzieci jak i dorośli znajdą coś dla siebie – zapewnia dyrektor Biblioteki Publicznej Gminy Szemud, Iwona Piastowska.
Oprócz spotkań z autorami będą także m. in. pasowanie na czytelnika, konkurs o trofeum Gminnego Mistrza Pięknego Czytania i przedstawienie teatralne mądre słówka. Jak zauważa Iwona Piastowska – dzięki temu, że biblioteki przestały być tylko składnicami książek, czytelnictwo zaczyna się odradzać. Między 8, a 15 maja w Tygodniu Bibliotek weźmie udział kilkadziesiąt placówek w Województwie Pomorskim. W Szemudzie potrwa on do 23 maja.
