Rozpoczęła się akcja pod hasłem „Stop pijanym kierowcom”.
W gminie Bytów policja, parafie i samorząd po raz 12 już połączyły siły by podnieść bezpieczeństwo na drogach. Rozpoczęła się doroczna akcja pod hasłem „Stop pijanym kierowcom”.
Organizowana jest w sierpniu i wrześniu. W kościołach odprawiono msze święte i poświęcono pojazdy. Policjanci natomiast przeprowadzą wzmożone kontrole. Akcja ma przypominać, że nawet najmniejsza ilość spożytego alkoholu zmienia funkcjonowanie organizmu a kierowca pod wpływem jest zagrożeniem dla innych uczestników ruchu. Od początku roku w całym powiecie bytowskim zatrzymano ponad 70 nietrzeźwych kierowców – czyli takich, którzy we krwi mieli ponad pół promila alkoholu. Niemniej akcja przynosi efekty, bo w eliminowaniu zagrożenia pomagają policji… inni kierowcy. W lipcu po dwóch zgłoszeniach zatrzymano nietrzeźwych kierujących, którzy mieli we krwi ponad dwa promile alkoholu.
