Ogólnopolska akcja liczenia osób bezdomnych
By zaoferować pomoc i zapobiec tragediom – na ulice wyszli strażnicy miejscy, policjanci pracownicy socjalni i wolontariusze. Minionej nocy odbyła się ogólnopolska akcji liczenia osób bezdomnych.
Co dwa lata organizuje ją Ministerstwo Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej. Także na Kaszubach przeczesywano schroniska, dworce, ogródki działkowe i altany. – By oszacować potrzeby i zorganizować pomoc dla tych osób – mówi komendant straży miejskiej z Rumi Roman Świrski. Osoby bez dachu nad głową mogą liczyć m.in. na transport do schroniska czy też włączenie w długofalowe programy wychodzenia z bezdomności oferowane przez ośrodki pomocy społecznej. Niestety większość przyjmuje tylko pomoc doraźną – ciepły posiłek czy jednorazowy nocleg. Według ostatniego badania przeprowadzonego w 2015 roku bez dachu nad głową było w Polsce ponad 36 tysięcy osób.
