Nowy Park z Żukowie zostanie otwarty dopiero pod koniec sierpnia
Dopiero pod koniec sierpnia zostanie otwarty nowy park z centrum Żukowa, który wraz z ulicą klasztorną budowany jest w ramach unijnego projektu. W trakcie prac okazało się, że trzeba umocnić skarpę, na której powstaje nowy trakt spacerowy.
W usadowionym na skarpie parku znajdować się będą alejki z ławeczkami, stylowe lampy, dwa place zabaw dla dzieci, fontanna. Park ma być miejscem wypoczynku z doskonałym widokiem na miasto – można stąd podziwiać panoramę, a przede wszystkim Kościół Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Marii Panny. Pierwotnie budowa miała się zakończyć pod koniec maja, jednak niezbędne było umocnienie skarpy i postawienie muru oporowego – mówi rzecznik prasowy urzędu gminy w Żukowie Sylwia Kubryńska.
Na nowe miejsce do spacerowania czekają mieszkańcy Żukowa – zwłaszcza młode matki które będą mogły tam zabrać swoje pociechy w wózkach. Projekt opiewa na sumę prawie 2 milionów złotych z czego większość, bo aż 85% pokryje unijne dofinansowanie .
