Nadal istnieje wysokie zagrożenie pożarowe
Nadal istnieje wysokie zagrożenie pożarowe – informuje Regionalna Dyrekcja Lasów Państwowych w Gdańsku. Wysokie temperatury powietrza i długotrwały brak opadów powoduje, że w obecnej chwili wilgotność ściółki wynosi poniżej 10 procent.
W bieżącym roku na terenie Regionalnej Dyrekcji Lasów Państwowych Gdańsk odnotowano 56 pożarów, które zajęły powierzchnię powyżej 11 ha. Dla porównania z danych na lipiec 2017 roku – pożarów było tylko 20. Jerzy Krefft, rzecznik prasowy Regionalnej Dyrekcji Lasów Państwowych w Gdańsku, wśród przyczyn wymienia: wyładowania atmosferyczne, przewody elektryczne oraz podpalenia. Pracownicy lasów apelują, by osoby, które zauważą ogień w lesie niezwłocznie informowały o tym. Obecnie największe zagrożenie wystąpienia pożaru istnieje w lasach na siedliskach borowych w takich nadleśnictwach jak : Lipusz, Kościerzyna, Starogard, Lubichowo, Kwidzyn, Kaliska.
