Poświęcenie nagrobka Jana Karnowskiego w Brusach
Sierpniowa nawałnica zjednoczyła Kaszubów, dzięki którym udało się szybko odbudować zabytkowy nagrobek Jana Karnowskiego na bruskim cmentarzu. W najbliższą niedzielę odbędzie się jego poświęcenie.
Nagrobek kaszubskiego pisarza został całkowicie zniszczony w wichurze, która przeszła nad południowymi Kaszubi 11 sierpnia. Na jego odbudowę Zrzeszenie Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego zorganizowało zbiórkę środków. Nowy pomnik wykonano z czarnego kamienia szwedzkiego, a na jego płycie umieszczono dodatkowe napisy kaszubskie. Koszt wyniósł 25 tysięcy złotych. – Dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy włączyli się w tę akcję – mówi prezes bruskiego oddziału ZKP Stanisław Kobus. Po poświęceniu nagrobka, w bruskim Centrum Kultury i Biblioteki odbędzie się opłatkowe spotkanie Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego i oficjalne podsumowanie obchodów Roku Józefa Chełmowskiego na Kaszubach.
