Jest nowa wersja aplikacji Regionalnego Systemu Ostrzegania
Jak informuje Ministerstwo Spraw Wewnętrznych i Administracji umożliwia ona zawężenie obszaru, na który trafia komunikat. Teraz zamiast całego województwa może to być kilka gmin – ostrzeżenie zostanie wysłane do osób przebywających na zagrożonym terenie.
Warunkiem jest zainstalowanie aplikacji w telefonie i wybranie odpowiednich ustawień. Umożliwia to wzbogacenie aplikacji na smartfony o geolokalizację. Dzięki temu np. gdy wypadek drogowy zdarzy się na lokalnej drodze, możliwe jest przekazanie ostrzeżeń kierowcom znajdującym się w określonej odległości od zdarzenia. Regionalny System Ostrzegania jest bezpłatną usługą umożliwiającą powiadamianie o zagrożeniach. Poprzednia i nowa wersja aplikacji RSO funkcjonują obecnie w sposób równorzędny. Są dostępne dla trzech najbardziej rozpowszechnionych systemów operacyjnych – bezpłatnie w sklepach z aplikacjami na poszczególne platformy.
