Coraz mniej uczniów w Kaszubskim Liceum Ogólnokształcącym
Coraz mniej uczniów w Kaszubskim Liceum Ogólnokształcącym w Brusach. W pierwszej klasie naukę rozpoczęło jedynie 12 uczniów – to najmniej w całej 24-letniej historii szkoły.
– Szkole nie służy położenie w małej miejscowości, jaką są Brusy – uważa dyrektor Zbigniew Łomiński.
Liceum w Brusach to jedyne „kaszubskie” liceum w Polsce. Podobne przez kilka lat funkcjonowało w Strzepczu koło Wejherowa, ale ze względu na brak chętnych zlikwidowano je w 2012 roku. Te same problemy dzisiaj dotykają szkołę w Brusach. To niż demograficzny, nietrafiona promocja, a także preferencje młodzieży – jak wybór szkół technicznych i chęć nauki w większym mieście, jakim są oddalone o 24 km Chojnice. Kaszubskie Liceum Ogólnokształcące nie zostało zlikwidowane,a nad jego przyszłością wspólnie rozmawiają – dyrekcja, organ prowadzący czyli starostwo w Chojnicach oraz władze miejskie w Brusach zainteresowane przejęciem szkoły.
