Brak fotoradarów odbije się na bezpieczeństwie mieszkańców
Odebranie nam fotoradarów oznacza dla nas o jedno zadanie mniej, ale może odbić się na bezpieczeństwie mieszkańców – komentują strażnicy miejscy. Od pierwszego stycznia obowiązuje ich zakaz używania urządzeń rejestrujących.
– Strażnicy wykonywali obowiązki swoich przełożonych – komentuje komendant z Rumi Roman Świrski, podkreślając że karanie kierowców za zbyt dużą prędkość było jednym z wielu zadań straży miejskiej.
Z tego powodu w województwie pomorskim wyłączono kilkadziesiąt fotoradarów, m. in. w Kobylnicy – która zasłynęła z rekordowych kwot pozyskiwanych z mandatów. Pilnowanie porządku i angażowanie się w akcje społeczne – jak ostatnio skierowane do rowerzystów – to priorytety straży w Rumi. Na brak pracy nie narzekają także strażnicy w Wejherowie. Ale – jak powiedział nam szef tamtejszej straży Zenon Hinca – brak fotoradarów może się odbić na bezpieczeństwie mieszkańców. A w niektórych przypadkach to właśnie Wejherowianie wnioskowali o postawienie rejestratora. Strażnicy nie mogą już korzystać z fotoradarów, ale kierowcy nadal mogą być ukarani za wykroczenia przez nie zarejestrowane przed końcem roku. Sprawy mandatowe wszczęte przed 01 stycznia, których strażnicy nie dokończą, przejmie policja.
