Kary za przestępstwa w ruchu drogowym mają być zaostrzone
Zaostrzenie kar za przestępstwa w ruchu drogowym – zakłada projekt przyjęty wczoraj przez rząd.
Dotyczy to m.in. kierujących w stanie nietrzeźwości lub pod wpływem środka odurzającego, którzy spowodują wypadek ze skutkiem śmiertelnym lub ciężkim uszkodzeniem ciała. Miałby trafić do więzienia na minimum dwa lata, a nie jak teraz na co najmniej 9 miesięcy. Kara nie będzie mogła być zawieszana. Świadoma ucieczka przed pościgiem policji byłaby przestępstwem zagrożonym karą od 3 miesięcy do 5 lat pozbawienia wolności – teraz jest to wykroczenie zagrożone grzywną i karą do 30 dni aresztu. Skazując za to kierowcę, sąd musiałby orzec wobec niego zakaz prowadzenia pojazdów mechanicznych.
Kierowca, który prowadziłby pojazd mimo orzeczonego przez sąd zakazu, trafiłby do więzienia na okres od 3 miesięcy do 5 lat. Obecnie maksymalna kara to 3 lata więzienia. Przyjęty przez rząd projekt resortu sprawiedliwości zakłada także wydłużenie okresu przedawniania karalności wykroczeń drogowych – z 2 do 3 lat. A sądy mają być informowane o wszystkich przestępstwach i wykroczeniach kierowców z centralnej ewidencji kierowców oraz naruszeniach przepisów odnotowywanych przez policję. Obecnie sądy orzekając nie wiedzą, czy podsądny popełniał wykroczenia drogowe.
