Czy zasady zbierania i udostępniania danych użytkowników stosowane przez Facebook Ireland mogą naruszać prawa konsumentów?
Postępowanie w tej sprawie wszczął Urząd Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów. Wątpliwości wzbudziły m.in. postanowienia, które niejednoznacznie określają sposób korzystania z gromadzonych danych użytkowników oraz procedurę ich udostępniania innym podmiotom. UOKiK zwrócił również uwagę na szeroki i nieokreślony katalog gromadzonych informacji. Podobne działania prowadzone są także w innych państwach – m.in. w Niemczech, Francji czy we Włoszech. W Polsce Główny Inspektor Ochrony Danych Osobowych,wydał w styczniu ubiegłego roku decyzję, w której nakazał Facebook Polska usunięcie opublikowanych danych osobowych jednego z użytkowników.
