Chcą zaostrzenia kar za przestępstwa i wykroczenia w ruchu drogowym
Zaostrzenia kar za przestępstwa i wykroczenia w ruchu drogowym chce Ministerstwo Sprawiedliwości – jest projekt ustawy.
Zaproponowano w nim, że pijany lub odurzony narkotykami sprawca śmiertelnego wypadku lub powodującego ciężkie uszkodzenia ciała pójdzie do więzienia na co najmniej 2 lata, bez możliwości zawieszenia. Dziś dolna granica kary to 9 miesięcy, a wyrok do jednego roku można zawiesić.
Według propozycji resortu sprawiedliwości policja, prokuratura i sądy dostaną więcej czasu na ukaranie sprawcy wykroczeń drogowych – będą się one przedawniać dopiero po trzech latach od momentu popełnienia, a nie jak teraz po dwóch. Kierowca, który zmusi policję do pościgu popełni przestępstwo zagrożone karą do 5 lat więzienia. Sąd obligatoryjnie zakaże mu prowadzenia pojazdów na okres od roku do 15 lat. Dziś nawet najbardziej brawurowa ucieczka stwarzająca ogromne zagrożenie na drodze traktowana jest jak wykroczenie, za które grozi zaledwie grzywna lub kara aresztu do 30 dni.
Projekt Ministerstwa Sprawiedliwości zaostrza też kary dla kierowców, którzy siadają za kółkiem choć mają sądowy zakaz prowadzenia pojazdów bądź zabrano im prawo jazdy decyzją administracyjną.
