Sejm uczcił pamięć księdza Jana Kaczkowskiego
Z wnioskiem formalnym o upamiętnienie zmarłego w poniedziałek duchownego zwrócił się poseł Platformy Obywatelskiej Marian Zembala, były minister zdrowia.
Księdza Kaczkowskiego nazwał współczesnym bohaterem. Gdy kończył uzasadnianie swojego wniosku posłowie na sali plenarnej wstali i zaczęli odmawiać modlitwę „Wieczny odpoczynek” – podał portal tvpparlament.pl. W 2012 roku prezydent Bronisław Komorowski odznaczył księdza Jana Kaczkowskiego Krzyżem Kawalerskim Orderu Odrodzenia Polski. Ksiądz Jan był też honorowym obywatelem Pucka, gdzie założył i prowadził hospicjum oraz laureatem wielu nagród za swoją działalność. Zmarł po ciężkiej chorobie w wieku 38 lat.
Uroczystości pogrzebowe odbędą się w piątek. Rozpoczną o 8 rano w puckiej farze, a zakończą w Sopocie, gdzie ksiądz Jan Kaczkowski spocznie na Cmentarzu Komunalnym. Uroczystość w Sopocie będzie miała charakter rodzinny. Bliscy księdza Jana proszą też, by zamiast kwiatów składać datki na rzecz puckiego hospicjum.
