Banki Żywności rozpoczynają wielkanocną zbiórkę żywności
By pomóc potrzebującym wystarczy kupić kilka dodatkowych produktów i przekazać je wolontariuszom. W województwie pomorskim będzie ich można spotkać w ponad 250 sklepach, w akcji biorą udział głównie markety.
W całej Polsce akcja obejmie 280 miejscowości i 2 tysiące sklepów, przeprowadzi ją 25 tysięcy wolontariuszy. Celem zbiórki, jak co roku, jest zapewnienie spokojnej i godnej Wielkanocy najbardziej potrzebującym. Żywność trafi najpierw do magazynów Banków Żywności, gdzie zostanie posortowana, zważona i policzona. Potem przekazana zostanie lokalnym organizacjom społecznym jak hospicja, domy samotnej matki, noclegownie dla bezdomnych, jadłodajnie dla ubogich czy świetlice środowiskowe. Z pomocy żywnościowej na święta skorzystają również rodziny wielodzietne, osoby chore, samotnie wychowujące dzieci, bezdomne oraz żyjące w ubóstwie.
Wielkanocna zbiórka żywności rozpoczyna się dziś i potrwa do niedzieli. Listę sklepów biorących w niej udział znaleźć można na stronie internetowej www.bankizywnosci.pl.
