Służba Celna wypowiada wojnę nielegalnym automatom do gier hazardowych. W myśl ustawy hazardowej, od 2016 roku tzw. „owocówki” mogą funkcjonować jedynie w kasynach.
– To nie koniec kontroli – mówi rzecznik prasowy Izby Celnej w Gdyni Marcin Daczko.
Niestety punktów z automatami przybywa – kontenery z nimi wyrastają jak grzyby po deszczu. Dlatego Służba Celna wraz z policją kontroluje nielegalne punkty. Tylko od początku tego roku aż do połowy lutego skonfiskowano 136 maszyn o łącznej wartości półtora mln zł. Ostatnio w Kartuzach zabezpieczono 5 nielegalnych automatów o wartości 100 tysięcy złotych. Właścicielowi grozi teraz do 3 lat pozbawienia wolności. W roku ubiegłym celnicy zabezpieczyli 1308 maszyn o łącznej wartości prawie 16 mln zł.
