Umowy terminowe tylko do 33 miesięcy – od dziś obowiązują nowe zasady ich zawierania.
Łączny okres zatrudnienia na umowy terminowe między tymi samymi stronami nie może być dłuższy niż 33 miesiące. Liczba umów nie może przekraczać trzech – czwarta stanie się umową na czas nieokreślony. Wcześniej będzie można zawrzeć umowę na okres próbny, nie dłuższy niż 3 miesiące. Nowela Kodeksu pracy umożliwia wprawdzie przedłużenie umowy na dłuższy okres, „gdy pracodawca wskaże obiektywne przyczyny leżące po jego stronie”. O takich dłuższych umowach będzie trzeba jednak informować Państwową Inspekcję Pracy. Wyjątkami od limitu mogą też być umowy okresowe zawierane na czas określony w celu, np. wykonywania pracy o charakterze dorywczym lub sezonowym.
O dzisiaj zmienia się też okres wypowiedzenia umów o pracę na czas określony – będzie on zależny od czasu zatrudnienia u danego pracodawcy. Przy krótszym niż pół roku okres wypowiedzenia wynosi dwa tygodnie, od pół roku do trzech lat – miesiąc, a powyżej trzech lat – trzy miesiące.
