Silny mróz nie ustępuje – obowiązuje pierwszy stopień zagrożenia, służby proszą o informowanie o osobach narażonych na wychłodzenie organizmu.
Apel dotyczy zwłaszcza osób bezdomnych – szukających schronienia w piwnicach, altankach i klatkach schodowych, ale dotyczy też osób starszych oraz nietrzeźwych przebywających na dworze. Według danych policji od 31 grudnia do północy z soboty na niedzielę z wychłodzenia zmarło 14 osób. By zapobiec tragedii wystarczy zadzwonić pod numer 997 czy też alarmowy 112. Pomorski urząd wojewódzki przypomina też o numerze, pod którym można uzyskać informację o miejscach noclegowych. By dowiedzieć się, gdzie można się ogrzać, zjeść ciepły posiłek i spędzić noc należy dzwonić pod 987. Listę tych miejsc opublikowano także na stronie internetowej urzędu. Z powodu silnego mrozu IMGW dla większości województw – w tym pomorskiego – wydał ostrzeżenie pierwszego stopnia. Oznacza ono możliwość wystąpienia zjawisk atmosferycznych, które mogą powodować szkody materialne oraz możliwe zagrożenie życia. Według prognoz ocieplenie ma przyjść w środku tygodnia.
