30 mln złotych kary założył UOKiK na Orange Polska
Prawie 30 mln zł kary założył UOKiK na spółkę Orange Polska. Zobowiązał ją także do rekompensaty publicznej.
Postępowanie zostało wszczęte po skargach napływających do Urzędu Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów. – Zakwestionowana przez urząd praktyka polegała na automatycznym przedłużaniu umów o kolejny czas oznaczony – w sytuacji braku działania ze strony konsumenta – wyjaśnia prezes UOKiK Marek Niechciał. Orange Polska nie zawsze jasno informował klientów o tym co mogą zrobić, by uniknąć automatycznego przedłużenia abonamentu. Oprócz nałożenia niemal 30 mln zł kary finansowej spółkę zobowiązano do rekompensaty publicznej. Orange Polska poinformuje o tym klientów na stronie internetowej oraz listownie. Decyzja UOKiK nie jest ostateczna, przysługuje od niej odwołanie do Sądu. .
