Zmarł Eugeniusz Gutfrański, komandor spływu „Śladami Remusa”
Zmarł Eugeniusz Gutfrański, legenda pomorskiego kajakarstwa oraz współtwórca i wieloletni komandor Kaszubskiego Spływu Kajakowego „Śladami Remusa”. Pogrzeb odbędzie się w najbliższy czwartek w Gdańsku.
– Dla nas był przede wszystkim współtwórcą i wieloletnim komandorem Kaszubskiego Spływu Śladami Remusa i Klubu Wanożnik – mówi jego przyjaciel, publicysta Edmund Szczesiak.
Eugeniusz Gutfrański przez kajakarzy nazywany Guciem pochodził z regionu płockiego, a na Pomorze przybył za pracą. Pełnił funkcję inspektora do spraw jakości w Gdańskiej Stoczni Remontowej. Tam od 1978 roku szefował Klubowi Kajakowemu Wodniak. Swoją przygodę z wodą rozpoczął już w latach 60, kiedy zainaugurował I Okręgowy Spływ Kajakowy rzeką Brdą, który w następnych latach przerodził się w imprezę ogólnopolską i międzynarodową. Był też współzałożycielem Sekcji Kajakowej przy Zakładach Porcelany Stołowej Łubiana w Lubianie i pierwszym komandorem Spływu Kajakowego Ceramików.
Msza żałobna za świętej pamięci Eugeniusza Gutfrańskiego odbędzie się w czwartek o godzinie 11:30 w kościele pw. św. Józefa w Gdańsku-Przymorzu. Pogrzeb odbędzie się tego samego dnia na cmentarzu Łostowickim o godzinie 14:00.
