Odmłodzone i odnowione rady gmin i miast – to wynik jednomandatowych okręgów w tych wyborach samorządowych. Wymieniliśmy ponad połowę dotychczasowych radnych. Według naszych obliczeń najmłodsi są w Kościerzynie a najstarsi w Kartuzach. Średnia wieku radnych w tym ostatnim mieście wynosi 53 lata, w Pucku 50, w Wejherowie 44, a w Kościerzynie jedynie 42. Najmłodszy radny w Wejherowie ma 23 lata a najstarszy 75. W radach miast w Kartuzach i Pucku nie ma żadnej osoby poniżej 30 roku życia. Najwięcej jest ich za to w Wejherowie i Kościerzynie. Tutaj też w radzie pojawi się ponad połowa nowych radnych. To efekt zmienionej ordynacji wyborczej – ocenia długoletnia radna z Kościerzyny Katarzyna Knopik. Kadencja każdej nowo wybranej rady rozpoczęła się z dniem wyborów czyli 16 listopada. Teraz czeka ich zaprzysiężenie. Zgodnie z prawem o samorządzie gminny pierwsza sesja musi się odbyć w ciągu 7 dni od daty ogłoszenia przez Państwową Komisję Wyborczą zbiorczych dla całego kraju wyników wyborów.
