W wielu miejscach województwa trwa akcja Bezpieczna Droga do Szkoły
Ponad 20 jednostek Straży Miejskiej i Gminnej prowadzi wspólnie akcję Bezpieczna Droga do Szkoły.
To trzecia edycja projektu zainicjowanego przez zastępcę prefekta Wojewódzkiego Straży Miejskich i Gminnych, który był naszym gościem w audycji Dzień Dobry Kaszuby. Działania rozpoczęły się już przed pierwszym dzwonkiem – w okresie wakacyjnym strażnicy sprawdzali oznakowanie, jego widoczność i zgłaszali zarządcom dróg potrzebę uzupełnienia ewentualnych braków. Od początku roku szkolnego możemy spotkać Strażników Miejskich i Gminnych na patrolach, które organizowane są w ramach akcji. Zwracają oni uwagę na najczęstsze przyczyny wypadków z udziałem dzieci i młodzieży szkolnej. Dotychczas w miejscach, gdzie przeprowadzano akcję nie odnotowano żadnego wypadku ze skutkiem śmiertelnym uczniów. Funkcjonariusze, oprócz pilnowania bezpieczeństwa spotykają się z młodzieżą, aby informować ich o zagrożeniach, a także wręczyć odblaski, które później towarzyszą uczniom w drodze do – i ze szkoły.
