Oddano hołd pomordowanym w piaśnickich lasach
W Piaśnicy oddano hołd pomordowanym – w 76 rocznicę tragicznych wydarzeń. W latach 1939 – 1940 w piaśnickich lasach hitlerowcy zamordowali kilkanaście tysięcy osób, głównie ze środowiska kaszubskiej i .pomorskiej inteligencji. Na uroczystości w miejscu kaźni zebrali się przedstawiciele okolicznych samorządów, młodzież z gminy Wejherowo.
Mszę św. w kaplicy leśnej pw. Błogosławionej Alicji Kotowskiej przy grobach piaśnickich odprawił ksiądz arcybiskup Metropolita Gdański Sławoj Leszek Głódź. Mówił wójt gminy Wejherowo Henryk Skwarło. Podczas wczorajszych uroczystości poświęcono nowe figury przy ołtarzu – przedstawiające więźniów Stutthofu zmuszonych w 1944 roku do rozkopywania zbiorowych mogił i palenia zwłok zamordowanych.
