W Kolanie powstał szwadron Szwoleżerów Rokitniańskich
W Kolanie koło Wieżycy powstał szwadron Szwoleżerów Rokitniańskich. To część pułku, który od 2006 roku działa w Starogardzie Gdańskim. Założenia szwadronu podjęli się właściciele stadniny koni w Kolanie.
– To dla nas spełnienie marzeń, z końmi mamy do czynienia na co dzień – mówi Arkadiusz Kupper.
Aby utworzyć szwadron, potrzeba było 6 ochotników. – Specjalne przeszkolenie przejdą też konie, a ułani dostaną mundury i będą brać udział w różnego rodzaju rekonstrukcjach historycznych – mówi Mateusz Bullman. Pułk Szwoleżerów Rokitniańskich – oddział kawalerii Legionów Polskich i Wojska Polskiego od kwietnia 1926 r. stacjonował w Starogardzie Gdańskim. Jego nazwa pochodzi od miejscowości Rokitna, pod którą w 1915 r. szwoleżerowie przeszli chrzest bojowy.
