Tragiczny weekend pod względem utonięć
To był najtragiczniejszy weekend pod względem utonięć w Polsce. Od piątku w wodzie zginęły 42 osoby. Na Kaszubach w jeziorze Tuchomskim utonął 52-letni mieszkaniec Gdańska.
– 52-letni mieszkaniec Gdańska chciał prawdopodobnie przepłynąć cały akwen – mówi rzecznik kartuskiej policji, Jarosława Krefta i apeluje o ostrożność nad wodą.
Przyczyną tak dużej liczby zdarzeń, zdaniem policji, był upalny weekend a także to, że wiele osób szukało ustronnych miejsc do kąpieli, które nie były strzeżone przez ratowników. Zawiódł też często brak umiejętności pływackich, a do tego lekkomyślność i brawura. To mogło być przyczyną utonięcia w jeziorze Tuchomskim.
Policja i ratownicy apelują o ostrożność. Przestrzegają też przed wstrząsem termicznym i wchodzeniem do wody po spożyciu alkoholu. Od maja w Polsce utonęły już 124 osoby.
