System Roweru Metropolitalnego połączy Pomorze
System Roweru Metropolitalnego połączy Pomorze – umowę w tej sprawie podpisało 14 gmin, oprócz Trójmiasta m.in. Stężyca, Reda, Rumia, Puck i Władysławowo.
Pierwsze rowery metropolitalne mają wyruszyć w trasę jesienią przyszłego roku. W sumie ma ich być 3,5 tysiąca, a stojaków dwa razy tyle – część będzie zlokalizowana w węzłach integracyjnych, w pobliżu dworców kolejowych bądź autobusowych. Jednoślady mają być wyposażone w GPS i urządzenia umożliwiające wypożyczenie za pomocą karty kredytowej, miejskiej lub telefonu komórkowego. Rowery będzie można wypożyczać przez cały rok, będą udostępniane w określonych obszarach.
Przygotowaniem projektu w imieniu zainteresowanych gmin zajmie się stowarzyszenie Obszar Metropolitalny Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot. Na budowę systemu potrzeba prawie 22 mln zł. 3/4 tej sumy ma pochodzić z Regionalnego Programu Operacyjnego w ramach Zintegrowanych Inwestycji Terytorialnych. Resztę pokryją partnerskie gminy ze swoich budżetów.
