Sucho w pomorskich lasach. Wciąż utrzymuje się wysoki poziom zagrożenia pożarowego. Leśnicy apelują o szczególną ostrożność.
– Jeżeli płomień nie zdążył się jeszcze rozprzestrzenić, wskazane jest jego samodzielne ugaszenie – mówi Zbigniew Łącki z Nadleśnictwa Przymuszewo.
Panujące w ostatnich dniach upały sprawiły, że ściółka leśna jest mocno wysuszona i wystarczy iskra, by spowodować katastrofę. Jak informują Lasy Państwowe 9 na 10 pożarów jest spowodowanych przez człowieka. Są to celowe lub nieumyślne podpalenia. Przyczyną mogą być niedogaszone ogniska, jazda samochodem po lesie, grillowanie czy niedopałki papierosów. Pod żadnym pozorem nie powinno się używać ognia w lesie i w promieniu stu metrów poza nim. W razie zauważenia pożaru trzeba niezwłocznie powiadomić służby leśne lub straż pożarną. Największe zagrożenie pożarowe panuje we wschodnich i południowych województwach Polski.
Dwa razy dziennie mierzona jest wilgotność ściółki i współczynnik opadów. Na tej podstawie określa się stopień zagrożenia pożarowego. Zakaz wstępu do lasu zostaje wydany w miejscach, gdzie przez kolejnych 5 dni wilgotność ściółki mierzona o godzinie 9.00 była niższa niż 10 procent.
