RUMIA. Biblioteka w odnowionym dworcu PKP
Biblioteka w Rumi na walizkach – rozpoczyna się przeprowadzka księgozbioru do nowej siedziby. Będzie się ona mieścić w odnowionym dworcu PKP. Budynek przeszedł gruntowną modernizację – na poczekalnie i kasy przeznaczono jedną czwartą powierzchni, resztę zajmie Stacja Kultura. – Pod tym szyldem będzie się mieścić główna biblioteka w Rumi z najszerszym księgozbiorem i poszerzoną ofertą – wyjaśnia dyrektor Miejskiej Biblioteki Publicznej w Rumi Krystyna Laskowicz. W Stacji Kultura znajdą się pracownie plastyczne, będzie miejsce na wystawy, swoją siedzibę znajdą także organizacje pozarządowe. Wyprowadzka z Janowa nie oznacza przy tym, że mieszkańcy tej dzielnicy stracą swoją bibliotekę. Ze względu na przenosiny księgozbioru główna biblioteka została zamknięta, książki można wypożyczać w filiach. Otwarcie Stacji Kultura w wyremontowanym dworcu PKP w Rumi zaplanowano na 12 września.
