Rower MEVO: wyłoniono wykonawcę i operatora projektu
Firma Nextbike z Warszawy będzie odpowiedzialna za wdrożenie i obsługę roweru metropolitalnego na terenie Trójmiasta i 12 gmin Pomorza. Zwycięzcę wybrano spośród trzech podmiotów, które stanęły do przetargu.
Za wyłonienie wykonawcy i operatora Systemu Roweru Metropolitalnego Mevo odpowiada Stowarzyszenie Metropolitalne Gdańsk – Gdynia – Sopot. Jak wyjaśniają jego przedstawiciele oferta spółki NB Tricity była najkorzystniejsza. Firma z Warszawy dostarczy 4080 rowerów, wszystkie będą elektryczne. Przez 6,5 roku funkcjonowania MEVO pochłonie 40 mln zł. Rower metropolitalny to system umożliwiający wypożyczenie, przemieszczanie się i pozostawienie w innym wytyczonym miejscu jednośladu. MEVO obejmie Trójmiasto oraz 12 gmin z nim sąsiadujących, między innymi Redę, Rumię, Puck, Władysławowo, Stężycę czy Żukowo. Zgodnie z założeniami 30 procent rowerów pojawi się w Trójmieście jesienią, a cały projekt zostanie uruchomiony do 1 marca 2019 roku. Projekt współfinansowany jest ze środków unijnych. Dofinansowanie wynosi ponad 17 mln zł.
