Rewitalizacja linii kolejowej Kartuzy-Sierakowice-Lębork
Będzie rewitalizacja linii kolejowej na trasie Kartuzy-Sierakowice-Lebork. W przyszłym tygodniu władze podpiszą list intencyjny w tej sprawie. Obecnie linia nie funkcjonuje i trzeba ją wyremontować, jednak według włodarzy gminy Sierakowice będzie to opłacalne bo ułatwi transport zbiorowy łączący środkowe Kaszuby z Trójmiastem. Wstępne plany zakładają, że pociągi na trasie będą mogły osiągać prędkość nawet do 100 km/h. Linia ma zostać również zelektryfikowana. Po podpisaniu listu intencyjnego, jako pierwsze zostanie przygotowane studium wykonalności które wyjaśni wiele kwestii związanych z rewitalizacją linii, wyjaśnia Zbigniew Fularczyk, zastępca wójta gminy Sierakowice. Jak na razie nie wiadomo ile będzie kosztować rewitalizacja odcinka – gmina Sierakowice cały czas poszukuje wspólników do inwestycji. Już wiadomo, że partnerem przedsięwzięcia będzie właściciel linii PKP PLK. Zainteresowana jest również spółka Lotos Kolej.
