Reklama suplementów diety nie może przypisywać im właściwości leczniczych, czy sugerować że są remedium na liczne dolegliwości – zwraca uwagę producentom Urząd Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów. Planowana jest też kampania edukacyjna w tym temacie.
UOKiK połączył siły z Państwową Inspekcją Sanitarną. We wspólnym liście wysłanym do 315 producentów i dystrybutorów suplementów diety zwraca im uwagę na reklamy, w których prezentują swoje produkty. Na list przedsiębiorcy muszą odpowiedzieć w ciągu miesiąca. Wspólna inicjatywa UOKiK oraz Państwowej Inspekcji Sanitarnej to pierwszy etap akcji poświęconej suplementom. Planowana jest też kampania edukacyjna.
