Badania profilaktyczne na wykrycie zakażenia wirusem HCV
W powiecie kartuskim wznowiono bezpłatne badania profilaktyczne na wykrycie zakażenia wirusem HCV. Może on wywoływać wirusowe zapalenie wątroby typu C. Jego następstwem może być uszkodzenie wątroby, jej zapalenie oraz u niektórych marskość i nowotwór.
– Możemy więc stwierdzić, że uratowaliśmy 15 osób – mówi Aleksandra Kuczkowska z kartuskiego starostwa.
Badania są adresowane do osób w wieku 18-65 lat zameldowanych na terenie powiatu kartuskiego. Osoby, u których stwierdzi się pozytywny wynik testu będą kierowane do lekarza po skierowanie do poradni chorób zakaźnych. W roku 2018 z badań skorzystało ponad tysiąc osób, z czego u 15 wykryto wirusa. Badania można wykonywać bezpłatnie do końca roku w Kartuzach przy ul. Kościuszki 12 oraz w Żukowie przy ul. Sienkiewicza 14
