Przydrożne drzewa to ogromne zagrożenie
Upiększają krajobraz, dają cień ale stwarzają też zagrożenie – wojewoda pomorski ostrzega, by uważać na przydrożne drzewa. W ciągu minionych trzech lat w wyniku najechania na drzewo na drogach województwa pomorskiego zginęło 128 osób.
– Przyczyny tych tragedii są różne, nie tylko alkohol. Drzewa utrudniają widoczność, ocenę odległości i zasłaniają pieszych – mówi rzecznik pomorskiego wojewody, Roman Nowak.
Z raportu Wojewódzkiego Inspektoratu Transportu Drogowego wynika, że w ciągu ostatnich trzech lat najwięcej przypadków najechania na drzewo odnotowano na drogach powiatowych, gdzie w 324 wypadkach zginęło 48 osób. Jeszcze więcej ofiar pochłonęły zdarzenia, do których dochodziło na drogach wojewódzkich – w 257 wypadkach zginęło 58 osób. Wojewoda zamierza zwrócić się do służb i instytucji odpowiedzialnych za ochronę środowiska, aby rozpatrując wnioski o pozwolenie na wycinkę drzew pod uwagę brały również kwestie dotyczące bezpieczeństwa. Jednak najlepszym sposobem na zmniejszenie tych statystyk wciąż pozostaje stosowanie się do obowiązujących przepisów ruchu drogowego. (Foto: www.gk24.pl)
