Wzmożone działania mundurowi prowadzili od 16 do 29 stycznia. W szczególności skupili się na autokarach przewożących dzieci na zimowiska.
„Pozytywnym zjawiskiem jest fakt, że obecnie już rzadko zdarza się, by pojazd miał usterki zagrażające bezpieczeństwu – czytamy w podsumowaniu na stronie Komendy Wojewódzkiej Policji w Gdańsku. Mundurowi na terenie województwa pomorskiego skontrolowali prawie 17 tysięcy pojazdów co skończyło się zatrzymaniem 758 dowodów rejestracyjnych za zły stan techniczny. Policjanci zatrzymali 151 kierowców pod wpływem alkoholu, którym odebrali prawa jazdy. Doszło do 53 wypadków, w których zginęły 3 osoby, a 56 zostało rannych.
