Pomorska Kolej Metropolitalna wciąż bije rekordy frekwencji
W tym roku przewiozła już 4 miliony pasażerów. Tę okrągłą liczbę osiągnięto wczoraj. Jest o milion większa niż w ubiegłym roku i dwa razy większa niż w roku 2016.
– To obrazuje jak duży jest potencjał PKM-ki – mówił na naszej antenie wicemarszałek województwa pomorskiego Ryszard Świlski.
Rosnąca frekwencja to zasługa m.in. wprowadzenia cyklicznego rozkładu jazdy, stabilnej oferty przewozowej z Kartuz i Kościerzyny oraz otwarcia nowych przystanków w Gdyni: Stadion i Karwiny. W planach jest otwarcie kolejnego: Gdańsk Firoga oraz elektryfikacja linii. Pomorską Kolej Metropolitalną samorząd województwa pomorskiego uruchomił we wrześniu 2015 roku. Elektryczne pociągi miałyby po niej kursować od 2023 roku.
