Pomorscy policjanci prowadzą dziś akcję „Prędkość”
Pomorscy policjanci na terenie całego województwa przeprowadzą dziś akcję „Prędkość”. Jej celem jest poprawa bezpieczeństwa na drogach. W ruch pójdą mierniki prędkości oraz nieoznakowane pojazdy wyposażone w wideo-rejestratory.
Należy się też spodziewać kaskadowego pomiaru prędkości – co oznacza że po minięciu fotoradaru lub patrolu Policji możemy napotkać kolejne punkty pomiaru prędkości. Policja uczula przy tej okazji, że jadąc z nadmierną prędkością mamy mniej czasu na prawidłową ocenę sytuacji. W dodatku droga zatrzymania się wydłuża, a na pojazd działają większe siły mogące spowodować utratę kontroli. Obliczono, że na obszarach miejskich z dopuszczalną prędkością 50 km/h, wzrost średniej rzeczywistej prędkości jazdy o 1 km/h powoduje wzrost liczby wypadków o 4 procent.
