W Sierakowicach podsumowano potężny projekt wodno-kanalizacyjny zrealizowany wspólnie z gminą Sulęczyno. Przez sześć lat wydano na niego prawie 85 mln zł.
– To jeden z największych takich projektów w Polsce zrealizowany na terenach wiejskich – mówi prezes sierakowickiego PWIK Tomasz Zdanowicz.
Program obejmował powierzchnię ponad 300 km2, w tym ponad 200 z nich objętych było różnymi formami ochrony. Wybudowano łącznie 227 km sieci kanalizacyjnej i 3200 przyłączy, 102 przepompownie, zmodernizowano oczyszczalnie ścieków w Sierakowicach i Sulęczynie, rozbudowano i zmodernizowano sieć wodociągową.
Dzięki kompleksowemu programowi uporządkowania gospodarki wodno – kanalizacyjnej poprawiła się jakość wody pitnej dostarczanej mieszkańcom gmin Sierakowice i Sulęczyno. Znacznie ma się poprawić czystość wód powierzchniowych w dorzeczu rzek Słupi i Łupawy. – Przede wszystkim chcieliśmy zadbać o Jezioro Gowidlińskie – informuje zastępca wójta gminy Sierakowice Zbigniew Fularczyk. Największe przedsięwzięcie podsumowanego w Sierakowicach projektu – uporządkowanie gospodarki wodno-ściekowej zlewni rzek Słupi i Łupawy – kosztowało ponad 70 mln zł. Na ten cel pozyskano 45 mln złotych unijnej dotacji.
