Nowy rekord frekwencji na trasie Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitalnej
W marcu na tej linii trójmiejska SKM-ka przewiozła ponad 250 tysięcy pasażerów. Duża w tym zasługa pasażerów z części regionalnej PKM. Dzięki nowym połączeniom można dojechać z Kartuz do Gdańska Głównego w niecałą godzinę, a z Żukowa do Gdańska Wrzeszcza – w przypadku przyspieszonych pociągów z Kościerzyny – jest to 25 minut.
– Oferta jest wciąż dopasowywana do potrzeb pasażerów, co skutkuje wzrostem frekwencji – oceniał przy okazji wprowadzenia bezpośredniego połączenia Gdańsk Główny – Kościerzyna Marcin Głuszek z trójmiejskiej SKM.
W pierwszym kwartale tego roku na samym kościerskim odcinku PKM liczba pasażerów wzrosła o 30 procent, a na kartuskim – blisko o połowę. To efekt grudniowego rozszerzenia oferty przewozowej przez samorząd województwa pomorskiego o przyspieszone pociągi z Kościerzyny do Trójmiasta oraz atrakcyjniejszy nowy rozkład jazdy dla mieszkańców powiatu kartuskiego.
