Tzw. RODO, czyli Rozporządzenie o ochronie danych osobowych, dotyczy wszystkich podmiotów, które na terenie Unii Europejskiej przetwarzają dane w sposób zautomatyzowany. Nakłada obowiązek wyraźnego informowania o czynnościach związanych ze zbieraniem czy wykorzystaniem tych danych. RODO wprowadza też nowości – jak prawo do skutecznego usunięcia danych o sobie z internetu. Rozszerzono również definicję danych osobowych.
