Nie żyje Tomasz Borewicz – działacz opozycji PRL
Zmarł Tomasz Borewicz, znany jako „Belfer”, działacz opozycji z czasów PRL, ekolog, działacz społeczny. W latach 80. Tomasz Borewicz działał w opozycji na Wyższej Szkole Pedagogicznej w Słupsku, za co został usunięty z uczelni.
Był uczestnikiem Ruchu Wolność i Pokój. Współorganizował strajk studencki w maju 1988 na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim. Współorganizował też skuteczną kampanię przeciwko budowie Elektrowni Jądrowej Żarnowiec. Między innymi dzięki jego staraniom odbyło się referendum społeczne na terenie województwa gdańskiego, w którym zdecydowana większość mieszkańców opowiedziała się przeciw budowie elektrowni. W ostatnich latach powrócił do aktywnych działań w ramach Pomorskiej Inicjatywy Antynuklearnej i Stowarzyszenia Odnawialnej Energii. Pogrzeb Tomasza Borewicza odbędzie się jutro na cmentarzu łostowickim w Gdańsku o godzinie 14.00.
