– Środki na ten cel powinny przeznaczyć samorządy, które otrzymują miliony złotych dodatkowej subwencji na naukę kaszubskiego w szkołach podstawowych i gimnazjach. Niestety nie dają – ubolewają nauczyciele Paweł Wittbrodt i Teresa Bronk.
77 nauczycieli przygotowanych do nauki języka kaszubskiego w przedszkolach. Teraz czekają na dobrą wolę wójtów w sprawie finansowania zajęć. W sobotę podsumowano trwający kilka miesięcy projekt „Cudowny świat kaszubskiego przedszkolaka”. W jego ramach kilkudziesięciu nauczycieli z przedszkoli brało udział w seminariach metodycznych w Kartuzach, Chojnicach, Wejherowie i Gdańsku. Poznawali tam metody pracy z najmłodszymi a także wartość edukacji kaszubskiej od najmłodszych lat. Zgodnie z ustawą język kaszubski powinien być obecny w każdym przedszkolu minimum 4 godziny w tygodniu. O tym dlaczego warto uczyć się języka kaszubskiego już od przedszkola mówiła dr Ewa Andrzejewska z Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. Szkolenia dla nauczycieli i konferencję podsumowującą zorganizowało Centrum Edukacji Nauczycieli w Gdańsku i Zrzeszenie Kaszubsko – Pomorskie. Organizatorzy zapowiadają kontynuację projektu w przyszłym roku.
