Marszałek województwa pomorskiego zaniepokojony decyzją o przedłużeniu zawieszenia małego ruchu granicznego z Rosją. Dał temu wyraz w piśmie skierowanym do ministra spraw wewnętrznych i administracji.
Od środy przywrócono wprawdzie mały ruch graniczny z Ukrainą, nie ma natomiast takiej decyzji odnośnie Obwodu Kaliningradzkiego Federacji Rosyjskiej. W obu przypadkach ułatwienia w przekraczaniu granicy zawieszono przed szczytem NATO i Światowymi Dniami Młodzieży. – Znaczenie małego ruchu granicznego dla lokalnej gospodarki Pomorza jest nie do przecenienia – napisał marszałek Mieczysław Struk do ministra Mariusza Błaszczaka. “Tylko w 2015 roku Rosjanie wydali ok. 286 mln zł w regionach objętych umową o małym ruchu granicznym” – czytamy w liście.
Podkreślono w nim korzyści dla właścicieli sklepów i punktów usługowych, znaczenie ruchu bez wiz dla promocji naszej kultury oraz dla współpracy między samorządami i instytucjami po obu stronach granicy. W imieniu swoim i pozostałych jednostek samorządu terytorialnego z terenu Pomorza marszałek Struk wyraził nadzieję, że mały ruch graniczny z Obwodem Kaliningradzkim zostanie w najbliższym czasie przywrócony.
