Ksiądz Jan Kaczkowski nie żyje
Mimo ciężkiej choroby pokazywał jak „żyć na pełnej petardzie” – w wieku 38 lat zmarł ksiądz Jan Kaczkowski.
Założyciel i dyrektor puckiego hospicjum, intelektualista, bioetyk. Propagował ideę wolontariatu, z jego inicjatywy do Pucka zjeżdżają młodzi lekarze by uczyć się jak rozmawiać z pacjentami. Swoim doświadczeniem z ciężką chorobą i nie tylko podzielił się też czytelnikami w swoich książkach „Nie ma szału, jest rak”, „Życie na pełnej petardzie” oraz „Grunt pod nogami”.
Z właściwym sobie humorem mówił ksiądz Jan w ostatnim wywiadzie, jakiego udzielił na naszej antenie. Mimo że walka z glejakiem mózgu kosztowała go wiele sił do końca pozostał otwarty na potrzeby innych ludzi. Ciężko pracował też, by zapewnić byt hospicjum, które w Pucku założył i prowadził.
Ksiądz Jan Kaczkowski był laureatem wielu nagród oraz wyróżnień, m.in. Krzyża Kawalerskiego Orderu Odrodzenia Polski Polonia Restituta. Jest też bohaterem fabularyzowanego dokumentu „Śmiertelne życie”.
