Pozyskany zostanie nowy tabor, choćby dla SKM, zrewitalizowana zostanie linia Grudziądz – Malbork a przede wszystkim linia Gdynia – Kościerzyna – mówi wicemarszałek województwa Ryszard Świlski. Nowy tabor ma być sukcesywnie wymieniany w ciągu najbliższych trzech lat, jednak największą inwestycją w rozwój kolei będzie modernizacja linii 201 – z Gdyni do Kościerzyny. Dodatkowo przy okazji tych prac elektryfikacja czeka linię Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitarnej numer 248 – co ucieszy mieszkańców Glincza, Kartuz czy Somonina i pozwoli na szybkie dojazdy do Trójmiasta – choćby do pracy.
