Kilkadziesiąt osób zwiedziło Trójmiasto z uczestnikami strajków w roli przewodników
O Porozumienie Sierpniowe walczyli nie tylko stoczniowcy: protestowali kolejarze, tramwajarze portowcy. Kilkadziesiąt osób przekonało się o tym podczas wycieczki “Sierpnia`80” zorganizowanej przez Instytut Pamięci Narodowej.
Zabytkowy autobus, tzw “Ogórek”, objechał najistotniejsze dla tamtych wydarzeń zakłady w Gdyni i Gdańsku – jak tramwajowa zajezdnia, gdański port oraz miejsce gdzie kiedyś działało Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Kolejowych we Wrzeszczu. W rolę przewodników wcielili się byli pracownicy – świadkowie i uczestnicy sierpniowych strajków. -To pilotażowy projekt, który ma pokazać że nie tylko stocznia walczyła z reżimem – mówi Arkadiusz Kazański z IPN. Strajki w sierpniu 1980 roku doprowadziły do podpisania “Porozumień Sierpniowych” i powstania NSZZ „Solidarność”. W Gdyni obchody 37 rocznicy rozpoczną się dziś o 18:00 złożeniem kwiatów pod pomnikiem Ofiar Grudnia ’70. W Gdańsku główne obchody związkowców z Solidarności odbędą się jutro.
