Jak powstawał kaszubski krajobraz
Według legendy Kaszuby powstały, gdy smutny Anioł wytknął Stwórcy biedę i jałowość tych ziem.
Wtedy Bóg potrząsnął workiem, w którym pozostało wiele jezior, lasów, pagórków i rzek. Tak powstała kraina piękniejsza od innych. Tyle na ten temat mówi legenda. O naukowym podejściu i roli bałtyckiego zlodowacenia w ukształtowaniu terenu Kaszub opowiadał w Chmielnie emerytowany wykładowca wydziału geologii Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego Stanisław Orłowski. Zlodowacenie zaczęło się 25 tysięcy lat temu i trwało przez kolejne 15 tysięcy lat. W ten oto sposób obaliliśmy legendę o tym, że głazy są pozostałością po obecności Stolemów. Na szczęście baśni i legend – jak podręczników – pisać od nowa nie trzeba.
