Gdynia i Gdańsk zaświecą się dziś na zielono – przyłączają się do drugiej edycji ogólnopolskiej Kampanii 17 milionów. Jest ona organizowana 5 października w ramach obchodów Światowego Dnia Mózgowego Porażenia Dziecięcego.
Pomysłodawcą i organizatorem jest łódzka Fundacja Pomocy Dzieciom „Kolorowy Świat”, która od wielu lat zajmuje się specjalistyczną terapią dzieci z MPD. Akcja ma zwrócić naszą uwagę na codzienne problemy osób dotkniętych tą chorobą, kolor zielony jest symbolem nadziei i solidarności z nimi. Na całym świecie na Mózgowe Porażenie Dziecięce cierpi 17 mln osób, stąd nazwa akcji. I w 17 miastach na zielono iluminowane będą gmachy i obiekty. W Gdańsku m.in. Pałac Opatów w Oliwie, wiadukt na ulicy Kościuszki, zabytkowa Katownia oraz Europejskie Centrum Solidarności. W Gdyni na zielono zabłyśnie InfoBox.
